Get a taste of the area once known as the Rock Island Rapids – considered the most dangerous section of the upper Mississippi. The Channel Cats are open-air boats that take passengers back and forth across the Mississippi River to various landings.  Passengers can get on an off as they like for one ticket price good for all day usage.

The Hamburg Historic District is one of Iowa’s largest historic districts and received national designation as an historic district in 1984 as it contains some of the oldest and most significant architectural styles in the State of Iowa. Much of the neighborhood, primarily settled by German immigrants in the 19th Century, is located on ground first laid out by Antoine LeClaire when Davenport became a city in 1836, given the area its status as “Davenport’s first neighborhood.” It was awarded “Great Places in America” in 2011.
