Rick, Thank you for a great experience with your facility and staff for our recent conference! As a “first-timer”, I was overwhelmed and nervous about how the whole thing was going to unfold. For months our team planned and planned and planned. We had multiple meetings with Adler and River Center staff, who were all very kind and patient with us (me mostly). On setup day, Scott and his crew went to work in the Adler as my crew prepared in other areas of the building. Setup, sound check and rehearsal went extraordinarily well. Scott was pleased. Saturday morning registration went as planned according to reports from my wife and daughter who handle that portion of the day for us. Execution on Game Day went according to plan (which is exactly what we’re looking for!). Everyone did their part and overall the event came off without a hitch. It was a learning experience that I’m very glad I’ve had. (We did have a couple of minor hiccups that I’m sure will be easily remedied for our next event. I take responsibility for most of it as I am learning the differences between holding our event in your facility versus a church. We can go over those together at a future debrief meeting.) Overall, I am pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with you again. Thanks and Kudos go out to: Ann for her patience with me and guidance in the process as we closed in on the event. Also, I was very impressed at how much time she spent with us on both Setup Day and Game Day. She was engaged and available most of the time we were in the building. (I honestly wish some of my speakers were as invested in the event as Ann was.) Evan and his crew in the Adler. Total servants. We lacked for nothing in terms of staff support and/or materials. The crew was professional, extremely responsive, and pleasant to deal with. Brad and his River Center crew. Again, real servants. Every room was set up and ready on time, with the necessary configuration and equipment in each room. They must work tirelessly well into the night to turn the place around for each event. My hats off to them. At one point when we needed something from the facilities team, Brad gave me a cell phone number to a building supervisor. When needed, I had direct access to that person, who responded expeditiously every time. Chris for an awesome lunch and beverage service. He and his crew provided beverages all day long and in multiple locations. Their beverage service team and our snack team complimented each other well. Again, the lunch was outstanding. Well done! I’m sure I am forgetting something or someone. Please, please convey to your team my thanks and appreciation for their help, patience, and support as we hosted our first Iron Sharpens Iron conference in the Adler Theatre and River Center!
